SUMMARY OF CHANGES to the SUSPBA Rules & Requirements
Highlights of Rule Changes reviewed and passed at the AGM June 3, 2006 · The Rule to assess the additional, refundable registration fee of $20.00 for individual piobaireachd events was repealed. · Allow for separate individual grading between amateur light music and amateur piobaireachd. · Grade 4 band grading was split into Grade 4a and Grade 4b. · Grade 5 band competition tune requirement is changed from a Medley to a Quick March Medley. · Allow the Music Advisory Board to evaluate a newly regraded band after their first competition of the season and recommend a grade change to the Executive Board if appropriate. · Amateur Bass Drum to be judged during the Pipe Band contest rather than individually and present the "best bass" in each band grade.
