SUMMARY OF CHANGES to the SUSPBA
Rules & Requirements  2004

As of June 5, 2004, reviewed and passed at the AGM
 

·         Split the Individual Grade 4 Piping category into two, 29 & under and 30 & over.

·          Judges will assign placings to individual piping and drumming competitors, 1st – 6th, rather than points.

·          Adds requirement of one tenor drummer for Pipe Bands competing in Grades 4 through 1.

·          Individual Snare Drum Requirements for Grade 3 will now be an M/S/R
 (all tunes are at least four parts each)    (no longer a 2/4 march) 

·         Allows the use of Instructors (piping and drumming) for Pipe Bands in Grade 4.  Instructors must submit a registration form and be added to the band roster 30 days prior to the sanctioned event they wish to enter.

·         Tune Selections for the year will be determined by the Executive Committee after the Games Committee /Sanctioning meeting; announced to all bands; and posted to the Website.

·         The Substitute Bass Drummer Rule now also applies to tenor drummers.

·          Allows for notifications using the SUSPBA Website.

·         Replaced phrase “Grading Committee” with the phrase “Music Advisory Board” whenever it appeared, to reflect the Bylaw change.
